Part 2 - "Fun and Friends Around Azusa"

Ashley gave us a tour (and a lunch) in "Old" Pasadena. Just minutes west of Azusa is the well-known town of Pasadena. You know, where lots of "snow-birds" go for the parades! No parades here, but Ashley had her eyes set on the "Cheesecake Factory" for lunch. After lunch we made a brief walk-about...
We crossed Colorado Street

And made a bee-line to the "Rocket Fizz" Candy Shop.
This is quite the place...
All kinds of soda pop!
Then (I think by design) we just happened to find Ashley's favorite store.... any bookstore.
Pasadena was a shoppers dream. To top it off the town offered an outstanding array of restaurants.
Back to APU!
Time for a tour of Azusa Pacific University.
Azusa has a desert climate and can get pretty hot. (Of course, while Pat and I were there the highest temp was in the mid 70's, cloudy and hazy.) We were impressed by the college campus. It was beautifully landscaped.
Here's a sampling....

Ashley took us by this great outdoor theater.
The Rose Garden.

The IMT and her fellow worker.

Shely presented Ashley with her "Ethernet Cord, and a unique bottle filled with homemade vanilla, YUMMY!)
Ashley's apartment.
Do we dare go in? College kids packing to go home!
Ah, why not....

Let's get back to the tour.... We should take time to smell the flowers....
Man, I love cactus!
The Seven Palms (Named for the Seven Penitential Psalms)
Break!
APU's earlier auditorium. Now too small.
Now for a sampling of buildings around the campus...
Here's a few of Ashley's roommates and friends.
So sweet aren't they?.......
Here's a few places we visited around town.
A Hobby store Pat and I visited, Ashley's Apartment Complex, In and Out Burgers and the Mongolian BBQ (Ashley's "to die for" fast foods!)
Yep, we ate there also. If you hang out with Ashley, be prepared. When she's hungry.... YOU EAT!
We hope you'll follow along with our Blog for Part 3 - "Disneyland and (ugh) the flight home."
