It's Time to Partay!!!!!!

Gotta love these parties down here in Florida. Outside, sharing the great outdoors with all the wildlife and enjoying great food with all of the "Palm Tree Bikers!" Yep, that's just what we did this fine Saturday afternoon. Folks at the beach and steak on the Barby. You just can't do any better than that. Especially while the northeast is getting buried with snow.

Hold it!
That's not right!

What was I thinking? Sorry, I got lost in my thought. It was windy and the chill factor was floating in the 30's and 40's. Needless to say us "Seniors" prefer warm places so, thanks to some planning ahead, our group headed to the warmth of the Lake Magic Clubhouse... and it was well worth it!

Special thanks to Jim and Judy and their industrious set-up crew we enjoyed a comfortable and most enjoyable "Palm Tree Bikers" monthly party in style.

 Ah what goodies.
Something to suit everyone's pallet and plenty to go around.

Here's a little "look around" of our riders before we settle in for lunch.

A few words from Jim, a blessing and it was lunch time!

Jim and Judy's "set-up" crew had a "smash" idea to "circle the wagons" (tables that is).
Sitting in a circle we had a chance to look across to each other and take part in all of the conversations of the afternoon. Good idea guys....and gals!

Jim has a way of mesmerizing an audience.

As you can see "circling the tables" worked out great.

It doesn't look like we're all that engaged. But, hey, what do you expect we're so busy through out the week we deserve to be "kicked back and reserved" at least once a week.
You can tell just how relaxed we are by looking at Larry (white hat, yellow tee). You never see him this at ease!

We're also "the elders," we know how to listen when others speak.

"Hold it, I think you're going to like this picture!"
Say hello to the dynamic duo of Jim and Judy.
One is the "Boss" and one is the "Other Boss." I'll let you figure out who's who!

We welcomed a number of new members today.

I know a lot of our readers will not know who they are but give me some time. I'll be picking on(er) highlighting them in the future.

Larry set up the "Corn Hole"* game and challengers were lined up (inside) to take the coveted 1st place prize. The games were quick and judging from the windblown hair and red faces, the competitors didn't mind being knocked out.

The wind played havoc with the bean bags. (I don't think some of the players minded. They got back into to the warmth of the clubhouse quicker.)

*Corn Hole is the "official" name of this game. My editor/proof reader will not allow me to use the name the game is called here in Lake magic.

I was planning to include a photo of the winner with the First Place prize, but Joan ate it!

We'd like to give a shout out to Jim and Judy, Pete and Joan, Dave and Bobbie and Larry and Judy for setting up the clubhouse for our get-together. The set-up crew would like to thank all those who cleaned up and re-set the tables after our party. Amazingly, as usual at nearly three minutes to five everyone got up and began clearing tables and moving chairs and tables. In all it took just over seven minutes to return the clubhouse back to normal.
Thank you one and all for a job well done!

Now that you've had a chance to see all our riders, I've taken the liberty to put their names in a neat and orderly fashion so you'll be able to call them by name when on the bike trail!

I've always had trouble with spelling!

I guess it's safe to close the cold evening with a parting shot of the full moon. We're heading into the mid-thirties tonight!
(After a record 123 days with the temps over 90' that began in April this past summer what's a few days in the 30's!)

And, don't forget to get up early before sunrise this coming week to see a rare gathering of five planets in the eastern sky.
