The Dynamic Duo of Jim and Judy held the PTBs "Official" final 2015-16 Season Party. The weather was terrific and the "Gamesman" himself, Larry, had Jim and Judy's site set up for serious competition. Bocce Ball, Ladder Golf and Cornhole Bean Bag toss were staged and ready for action when we arrived. However, so was the food table! Naturally we just couldn't let the food set too long, but we were good. Just as our mouths began to water, Greg asked if he can make an announcement that he and his wife Peg offered everyone a chance to participate in "The Amazing Race, Greg style!" Greg and Peg put together an "Amazing Race" for interested members to enjoy in "Disney Springs." Nearly two dozen people signed on, drew partners and they were off. The Market Place, Disney Springs, the West Side and even the Disney Springs lake was in play. Everyone had a great time. There will be more to report on later. By now, we're really itching to tackle the goodies just waiting for us on the tables... as soon as Jim said Grace that is! After scanning the array of foods we were on our own.
Even Larry took time to sample!

After lunch, Larry soundly called out, "Let the Games Begin!"
The Bocce Ball "court" was busy early on. The game turned out to be quite popular and fun for everyone who played.
Early on, everyone was, oh so polite when it came to "measuring" the point! We're still not sure who was the first to break out the measuring tape!

Meanwhile, at the Cornhole Bean Bag Toss things were really heating up! The competition was tough! (I'm talking about the ladies!)
The Bean Bag Toss became the most popular game venue as the afternoon wore on.
"Coaching" was allowed... sorta!
Larry participated in all of the games.
Many of us were content to enjoy the sunny afternoon.
The "Surprise Contestant" Award goes to Jack's, Alice!
She amazed every competitor she went up against in the Bean Bag Toss.
Alice managed to stay in the competition for several rounds. Great job Alice!
The afternoon sun dipped behind the trees leaving a chill in the air. The competitors played on and everyone had a great time.
In other news, Darlene's best friend Anita flew in and visited for a few days.
Knowing little of Disney we squeezed in a few places Anita can enjoy.
First off, we took an afternoon to visit the Animal Kingdom Lodge to check out the Savannah.
At first, we thought we missed "feeding time." The animals were sitting off in the distance and the only active ones seemed to be the Zebra and Waterbuck.
But then, we were treated to the antics of two Abyssinian Ground Hornbills as they desperately struggled with a chip bag.
"Eh, watcu lookin' at?"
After being patient we were treated to some close-ups of the giraffes as they sauntered toward us.
One of the rangers drove around placing food stuff near us and we were finally rewarded for our patience!
OK, next! We had to have an Earl of Sandwich lunch.
Anita enjoying her very first Earl of Sandwich treat.
To tell the truth, we all enjoyed a "first sandwich in a long time!"

As we walked around we introduced Anita to a couple more of our
Disney Springs "rituals." A Ghirardelli chocolate and a shared bag of Wetzel's Pretzels "Cina-Bites!"
But first.... what's that on Darlene's neck? Why it's a.... a.....TAG!
"So what", Darlene said, don't even think of removing it!"
... and we all went along on our merry way!
As Anita's visit grew shorter we ventured out for one more night in a park, EPCOT.
Spaceship Earth was first.
Yours truly opted to stay fit in the future!
Pat loves gardening!
You just gotta love reclaimed drinking water!
We got to see how we'll be enjoying life in an environmentally friendly home.
Cheers everyone!
Sorry, we didn't find any pictures of Darlene and Anita's future plans.
Yikes! Hold the camera the correct way will you!
That's more like it!
Hey, we are being watched! By Mickey!

The lazy ride through The Land was a quiet respite for each of us.

The Japanese Drummers put on a great show.
(Although, the guest who was whacked with the drumstick at the left of the stage might have been surprised! A drumstick slipped out of the hand of one of the drummers.
Fear not, no one was injured in the making of this blog!)
Of course the finale will be "Illuminations, Reflections of Earth."
A fitting end to a grand evening and a visit with an old friend.
